During the beginning of this project, there was a previous design already finished by me and my UX/UI Senior at the time, Hiyas, but along the way of testing Joblu's app, the user testing came back and preferred that the app focuses on a different demographic. So from blue-collar workers, Joblu shifted their branding and appeal to young white-collar workers or digital nomads.
During the brainstorming process, I got inspired with how Medium actually did their designs, just because it feels unique and the collage-aesthetic can be appropriate for most ages when handled properly.
I'm actually really proud of the pages made. It's clean and straight to the point. Because I got the go signal by my boss to follow through with the collage-visuals I proposed, everything feels very custom-made to what the features and intended message is. There were some things changed due to the feedbacks of my boss but everything else seems pretty okay for me. The images were made by me, while the icons and mobile screenshots of Joblu's app were made by Hiyas.
In terms of the live site provided in this portfolio... the current site underwent a new design direction as it was made by a completely different designer. Since I can also build websites, I took the liberty of rebuilding some of the pages I designed, so that I can also showcase my web building skills as well.
