The Process

I initially did the research on UR's competitors and studied how they encourage their users to book an appointment. I took note of what I believe can also be applied to UR's website, then I added in the layout that best suited the overall design of the website.

The project however did last longer than planned, as the clinic needed more time to compile their copy.

First version of the project’s sitemap. However during the whole project, the sitemap was revised 3 more times.

The Outcome

Overall it was a project I still enjoyed. We made some compromises here and there and we're both happy with the design approved. Though the overall design of the official website is different, I decided to showcase an alternative design that I believed displayed what the client originally wanted, which was to:
- Convince a user to book an appointment; and
- Showcase the benefits of booking an appointment by display a happier lifestyle of the clinic's target audience

Multiple stakeholders entered the project during it's final stages as well, so the original approved designs were heavily changes as well to cater to the new people coming in. Which is why I took the liberty of recreating the website using my design to showcase my WordPress development skills as well. One of the client's preferences was that they wanted to look inviting, full of happiness, and premium in an approachable way. So I thought of adding in marble as a background, then intent to fill the home page with an active lifestyle a potential patient may want as well.
